Mechanical engineering department of graduate education was established with the decision taken by institute of sciences in 1993.The students, graduated with a bachelor's degree from "Mechanical Engineering" section of university and provide the criteria set by the institute of science are eligible to register the mechanical engineering department to get graduate education. The Program covers a period of at least 3 semesters including 2 semesters for courses and 1 semester for thesis. At least 8 courses, including one compulsory during postgraduate training should be selected. The course of "Engineering Mathematics" is compulsory and must be selected and be successful by the students accepted into the program. Elective courses should be selected among a large number of elective courses that opened in that period by the student. In addition, each student should select “Profession" course for at least three semesters. Profession is a special study in which the student's performance is assessed by the consultant and it covers only the student and consultant. Students who successfully complete the courses which they selected can choose the thesis study course. Students who complete the thesis will be entitled to receive a Master's degree if they are considered successful in front of a predetermined jury for defense of thesis.
