Software Engineering is a multi-layered and technology-oriented discipline that forms the backbone of digital transformation, manages economic systems, shapes social communication, and optimizes industrial processes. Today, industrial advancements, the rise of AI-based systems, the increasing complexity of cybersecurity threats, and the need for big data analytics have made in-depth engineering research in software, the design of scalable architectures, and interdisciplinary scientific knowledge production inevitable. In this context, the need for researchers with algorithmic thinking and strong theoretical, analytical, and methodological backgrounds is rapidly increasing globally. To address these needs, the planned Software Engineering Doctoral Program aims to provide advanced theoretical consistency, a critical engineering perspective, and methodological depth to software development processes. The program aims to enable students to transfer their existing technical competencies to an academic level and to make original contributions to the scientific literature on topics such as software architecture, formal methods, secure software development lifecycle (SDLC), distributed systems, cloud computing, autonomous systems, and artificial intelligence engineering. Thanks to the program's research-centered structure, graduate students are encouraged to approach industrial problems with academic rigor, develop new algorithms, propose original software metrics, and create sustainable technological solutions.
