Food engineering doctoral programme is formal education based. Allowed maximum education time is 12 period. It can be finished earlier if at least the four periods has been spent on working on thesis. Doctoral programme includes, required courses, elective courses, seminar study and thesis study on condition that sum of the credits must not be fewer than 90. One student can take maximum 36 credits. Food engineering, dairy technology , food hygiene, nutrition and dietetics, genetics and bioengineering,faculty graduate students can apply to the programme. Programme contains only 15 elective courses but no compulsory course. Following the end of course periods the thesis about a subject, which will be decided under the lead of advisor professor, must be submitted. After acceptance of the thesis, it is wanted from student to defense the thesis successfully before jury committee . Graduates can work in research-development, production, quality assurance, marketing, imports and exports areas as engineers and managers. Student who finished the programme successfully can continue an academic career in Food Engineering science areas.
