For the master science (MSc) degree;
The main purpose of the master program with thesis in the department of physics is not only to teach the scientific research ability to the student but also to reach them in level of perfection in obtaining knowledge, verifying, interpreting, criticising the solutions. To be accepted to the master program in physics, students are suggested to have either the Physics, Physics Engineering or Physics Teaching bachelor’s degree. With the scholars studying in General Physics, Atomic and Molecular Physics, Solid State Physics, Nuclear Physics and High Energy and Plasma Physics, students are taught to reach a level so that they can proceed their higher education, i.e. PhD, in any university either in Turkey or in abroad. The students studying master program with a thesis in the department of physics can be graduated only by fulfilling 90 ECTS in the three academic term with 3 compulsory and some selective courses, followed by a thesis preparation period of one year (minimum).
