The aim of the program is to train people as Doctor of Philosophy, and teach them how to reach literature knowledge, apply them in the chemistry laboratory, present them as a scientific report and train them to be able to work in research and development laboratories by carrying out research in one of the departments, Botanic, Histology Embriology, Plant Physiology, Inverebrata, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Genetic Toxicology, Ornithology and Ecology, Ichthyology.
Applicants should have Master of Science degree at Biology from Institute of Science and Technology or a field related to biology. Biology Program initially includes 8 elective and 2 compulsory (research area) courses, totally 60 ACTS. PhD program students have to take a “Qualifying Examination” when they complete their coursework and before they start working on their PhD thesis. Publication of an article about thesis study in a journal indexed by Science Citation Index (SCI) is necessary for graduation. Students successfully completing the program have Ph.D degree in Biology and can apply academic or industrial institutions in the field of Biology as a lecturer or an expert.
