The aim of the program is to train people as Doctor of Philosophy, and teach them how to reach literature knowledge, apply them in the chemistry laboratory, present them as a scientific report and train them to be able to work in research and development laboratories by carrying out research in one of the departments, in Analytical Chemistry, Inorganic
Chemistry, Biochemistry, Physical Chemistry and Organic Chemistry of Chemistry. Applicants should have Master of Science degree at chemistry from Institute of Science and Engineering. Chemistry Program initially includes 8 elective and 10 compulsory courses, totally 180 ECTS. PhD program students have to take a “Qualifying Examination” when they complete their coursework and before they start working on their PhD thesis. Publication of
an article about thesis study in a journal indexed by Science Citation Index (SCI) is necessary for graduation. Students successfully completing the program have Ph.D degree in chemistry and can apply academic or industrial institutions in the field of chemistry as a lecturer or an expert.
